Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the per diem pool
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
• Document care clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and allied staff to support patient care plans
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Successful license/certificate verification and Trinity specialty competency testing
• Required health screening and immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
• Required testing: Trinity 10-panel drug screen, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot), Trinity Color Vision, Fit Test/Respirator Evaluation, Physical/Health Statement
• Per diem or prior LPN clinical experience preferred

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and manage multiple patient needs

This is a travel/per diem role in Michigan — when you're not caring for patients you can explore the state's highlights: stroll Great Lakes beaches, visit charming lakeside towns, hike scenic state parks, and explore cultural spots like Detroit’s museums and food scene. For nature lovers, Sleeping Bear Dunes and numerous waterfront trails offer weekend escapes; in-season farmers markets, breweries, and local festivals give you plenty to do nearby. Pack layers and a sense of adventure — Michigan has four seasons and plenty to discover between shifts.
