Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the per diem pool
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Document care clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and allied staff to support patient care plans
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Successful license/certificate verification and Trinity specialty competency testing
- Required health screening and immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza
- Required testing: Trinity 10-panel drug screen, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot), Trinity Color Vision, Fit Test/Respirator Evaluation, Physical/Health Statement
- Per diem or prior LPN clinical experience preferred
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
- Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely charting
- Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and manage multiple patient needs
