Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each assigned shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Perform timely and accurate patient assessments and document findings
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate charts and use electronic health record systems effectively
- Escalate changes in patient condition promptly to the appropriate clinical staff
Qualifications
- Current LPN licensure or eligible for licensure in New Mexico
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts on a Sunday-Tuesday schedule
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to care
Education
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and wound care basics
- Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with EHR workflows
- Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork
- Professional bedside manner and family education skills
