Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care on a medical/surgical and telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, respond quickly to arrhythmias and changes in cardiac status
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the EHR
• Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and ancillary staff to develop and follow care plans
• Demonstrate competency with specialty skills through Trinity-specific testing and checklists
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote smooth transitions home
• Maintain compliance with required immunizations, screenings and licensure verification

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to verify licensure) — state-specific verification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed as required for this role
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, TB testing, immunizations
• Professional, team-oriented approach with strong communication and assessment skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Electronic health record documentation
• Ability to follow unit-specific competency checklists and protocols
