Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care on a medical/surgical and telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, respond quickly to arrhythmias and changes in cardiac status
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the EHR
- Perform focused assessments and escalate changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and ancillary staff to develop and follow care plans
- Demonstrate competency with specialty skills through Trinity-specific testing and checklists
- Support discharge planning and patient education to promote smooth transitions home
- Maintain compliance with required immunizations, screenings and licensure verification
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to verify licensure) — state-specific verification required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed as required for this role
- Successful completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, TB testing, immunizations
- Professional, team-oriented approach with strong communication and assessment skills

- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Medical-surgical nursing best practices
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Electronic health record documentation
- Ability to follow unit-specific competency checklists and protocols
- Infection control practices and occupational health compliance
