Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for medical-surgical patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes promptly
• Assess patients regularly and implement nursing interventions to support recovery and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update individualized patient plans
• Perform and document thorough nursing assessments, handoffs, and shift reports
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Support unit goals for patient satisfaction, safety, and throughput through proactive communication

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to meet state credentialing requirements)
• Telemetry experience or strong cardiac monitoring skills
• BLS and ACLS required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Must pass required health screenings: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, immunizations and TB/IGRA as listed

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Familiarity with specialty competency checklists and unit-based protocols
• Accurate clinical documentation and handoff practices
