Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and rapidly identify changes that require escalation
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
- Perform comprehensive assessments, document findings clearly, and communicate changes
- Support patient and family education with compassion and clear explanations
- Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- TNCC certification (listed)
- NIHSS certification (listed)
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Successful completion of required health screenings and immunizations (fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, physical/health statement)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Solid medical-surgical nursing background and clinical assessment abilities
- Proficient in accurate documentation and electronic medical record workflows
- Excellent prioritization, critical thinking, and situational awareness
- Team-oriented communication and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Comfort with unit-specific competency workflows and specialty testing
