Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed radiographic procedures with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Operate and position the C-Arm and other imaging equipment for outpatient surgical cases
• Produce and present high-quality images and relevant patient data for timely interpretation
• Educate patients and families about procedures, risks, and preparation in a clear, compassionate way
• Perform equipment quality control checks and troubleshoot issues; escalate when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to departmental policies and regulatory standards
• Support smooth department workflow by managing supplies and assisting team members as needed
• Demonstrate professional conduct, confidentiality, and patient-centered care in every interaction

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• State Radiology License (Minnesota) required or eligible
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiology program (completed)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical radiography experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with surgical and imaging teams
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed and meet physical demands of the role

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiology program required
• ARRT certification and state licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic procedures and C-Arm operation
• Image acquisition and image production best practices
• Radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Patient positioning and safe patient handling
• Equipment quality control and basic troubleshooting
• Documentation and electronic medical record usage
• Patient education, bedside manner, and interventional procedure support
• Inventory management and supply coordination
