Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, evaluation, and management/rehabilitation for athletes
• Assess and manage concussions, lead symptom monitoring and return-to-play progression
• Cover athletic events and after-school activities, providing immediate care when needed
• Perform occupational health services such as POETs, post-offer employment testing, and job-specific conditioning programs
• Coordinate schedules for event coverage and collaborate with coaches, athletes, parents, and clinical teams
• Document treatments and evaluations accurately and maintain clear patient records
• Serve as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic by taking histories, assisting with scheduling, and educating patients
• Analyze root causes of injuries and recommend prevention strategies to reduce future risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology (required)
• 1+ years of related work experience
• Current Athletic Trainer license for the state of Wisconsin (required)
• Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• Valid driver's license (required)
• Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to expert computer proficiency

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology
