Shift Type: Monday-Friday (day shifts) with evening event coverage as needed; PRN/on-call for additional event coverage; occasional weekend and holiday event coverage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide injury prevention, evaluation, and management/rehabilitation for athletes
- Assess and manage concussions, lead symptom monitoring and return-to-play progression
- Cover athletic events and after-school activities, providing immediate care when needed
- Perform occupational health services such as POETs, post-offer employment testing, and job-specific conditioning programs
- Coordinate schedules for event coverage and collaborate with coaches, athletes, parents, and clinical teams
- Document treatments and evaluations accurately and maintain clear patient records
- Serve as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic by taking histories, assisting with scheduling, and educating patients
- Analyze root causes of injuries and recommend prevention strategies to reduce future risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology (required)
- 1+ years of related work experience
- Current Athletic Trainer license for the state of Wisconsin (required)
- Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to expert computer proficiency
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology

- Musculoskeletal examination and evaluation
- Concussion assessment and management
- Emergency care and on-field acute injury response
- Occupational health practices, POETs and post-offer testing

- Functional progress assessments and job-specific conditioning programs
