Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, professional critical care nursing in the ICU/PCU setting for pediatric through geriatric patients
• Conduct comprehensive health histories and ongoing physical assessments to identify changing patient needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on assessments and AACN standards
• Monitor hemodynamics, manage airways and mechanical ventilation, and recognize cardiac arrhythmias
• Respond rapidly to life-threatening emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
• Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion and coordinate patient transport (including ambulance) as needed
• Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies, participate in mandatory education, and collaborate with the unit director/manager to ensure best practices

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure and maintenance of required certifications and registrations
• Critical care nursing experience in ICU and/or PCU settings
• Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, and mechanical ventilation
• Experience recognizing and managing cardiac arrhythmias and emergency responses
• Willingness to assist with temporary pacemaker procedures and ambulance transports
• EPIC experience preferred; candidates with EPIC will be given preference
• Commitment to following AACN standards and participating in annual competency assessments

• Critical care nursing and patient assessment expertise
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation

• Cardiac arrhythmia recognition and emergency management
• Plan of care development and implementation
• Familiarity with AACN standards and critical care best practices
• Experience assisting with temporary pacemaker insertion and patient transport logistics
• EPIC electronic health record experience (preferred)
