Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (day) or 6:00 PM - 8:30 AM NOC (night); approximately 6-7 shifts per pay period

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough pediatric patient assessments and deliver compassionate acute care
• Execute physician orders and evidence-based interventions with confidence
• Respond to pediatric emergencies, including resuscitation and trauma protocols
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement family-centered care plans
• Educate families and caregivers on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Maintain required certifications and complete mandated training in a timely manner
• Work independently when needed while contributing to a supportive team environment

Qualifications

• Current, full, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state (AZ license not required)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association
• Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within 6 months of hire
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced acute pediatric environment

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric clinical nursing and patient assessment skills
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient and emergency care workflows
• Comfort with pediatric trauma and acute resuscitation protocols
• Familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale and pediatric-specific assessment tools
• Excellent communication, documentation, and care coordination abilities
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to serve diverse communities including Navajo and Hopi populations
• Critical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize in urgent situations
