Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with personalized rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Document thorough evaluations, treatment notes and discharge summaries using the clinic EMR
- Supervise and mentor PT Assistants and Aides to ensure excellent patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, front office staff and co-workers to coordinate patient care and follow-up
- Apply ICD-10 coding and maintain accurate documentation to support clinical and billing processes
- Ensure patient safety during transfers and mobility assistance, including lifting and support as needed
- Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies, reporting concerns and participating in required training
- Participate in business development and referral activities when needed to support clinic growth
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of California, or plan to test soon
- Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Comfortable performing 8-10 hour clinic days and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
- Experience with patient evaluation, treatment planning and outpatient rehabilitation
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and strong computer skills (Word, typing, internet)
- Proficient with ICD-10 coding and knowledgeable about billing policies (Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens, cash pay)
- Ability to supervise PT Assistants and Aides and make independent patient-care decisions
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy practices
Education
- Degree in Physical Therapy

- Electronic Medical Record documentation and reporting
- ICD-10 coding for therapy services
- HIPAA regulations and safe handling of protected health information
- Safe patient transfers, manual handling and mobility assistance
- Outpatient rehabilitation workflows and clinic operations
- Basic billing and authorization follow-up processes
- Strong written and verbal communication with physicians, patients and staff
