Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient clinical pharmacy services including order entry and order verification
- Accurately check and dispense medications to ensure patient safety
- Counsel patients and support safe, effective medication use across populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other care team members to optimize therapy
- Rotate into ambulatory roles as assigned such as anticoagulation clinic services or oncology pharmacy
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and institutional policies
- Support continuous quality improvement and medication safety initiatives within the pharmacy
Qualifications
- Current license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for reciprocity in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
- Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Pharmacy residency preferred for ambulatory rotations; advanced practice certifications a plus
- BLS certification required for anticoagulation clinic roles and must be renewed every two years
- Strong interpersonal and interprofessional communication skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication safety best practices and clinical pharmacy services
- Order entry, order verification, medication checking, and medication dispensing
- Inpatient pharmacy workflows and ambulatory clinic operations
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulatory compliance
- Patient counseling techniques across lifespan populations including geriatrics and pediatrics
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
