Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging following established protocols
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations to reduce anxiety
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure image quality, correct labeling, and timely delivery to radiologists
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the system
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to support diagnoses
• Assist with routine equipment quality checks and basic troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology
• CRP Certification (as listed in job requirements)
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer skills for documentation and image handling
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound clinical judgment
• Basic math skills and ability to follow one- or two-step instructions
• Experience performing X-ray and CT imaging (preferred but not quantified)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of radiographic positioning and CT imaging protocols
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Familiarity with PACS and basic digital imaging workflows
• Patient assessment, positioning, and comfort measures
• Clear communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams
