Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-scope medical billing for assigned specialties, ensuring accuracy from charge capture through reconciliation
• Review and work revenue cycle queues daily to resolve outstanding items and keep claims moving
• Manage charge capture processes and perform reconciliations to maintain clean, auditable records
• Communicate clearly and proactively with coding vendors about surgical procedures and coding questions
• Train and support billing and administrative staff on best-practice billing procedures
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and Operations Directors to report status and drive improvements
• Verify eligibility and handle prior authorization processes to reduce claim denials and delays
• Follow oral and written instructions carefully and maintain meticulous attention to detail in all documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on medical billing experience (explicit requirement)
• Current knowledge and experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding methods
• Familiarity with revenue cycle workflows, charge capture, reconciliation, and insurance payors
• Experience communicating with coding vendors and supporting coding staff
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to train/support team members
• CA applicants only (must be able to work in California)
