Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate vascular and echocardiography imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Review acquired images for diagnostic quality and repeat studies when necessary
- Identify and differentiate normal and abnormal imaging results with clinical confidence
- Communicate clear, concise summaries of imaging findings to physicians and the care team
- Alert physicians immediately to any urgent or critical imaging results to expedite care
- Participate in image quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policies
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Minimum 6 months of combined Vascular and Echocardiography experience (required)
- Comfortable working night shifts and participating in on-call rotation
- Ability to provide required compliance documentation one week prior to start
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with vascular ultrasound and echocardiography techniques
- Skilled at operating diagnostic imaging equipment and optimizing image quality
- Able to recognize normal versus abnormal findings and escalate appropriately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for physician handoffs and reports
- Familiarity with image quality assurance processes and documentation standards
- Patient-centered approach with good infection control and safety practices
