Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct operations and provide strategic financial oversight for the Foundation to maintain fiscal integrity
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements and strengthen internal controls
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Foundation and the hospital system, building collaborative relationships
• Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and department goals that align to Parkland’s mission
• Lead grant management and foundation-specific financial activities with attention to detail
• Analyze workflows and redesign processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and outcomes
• Select, train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate staff to maximize team performance and development
• Lead major organizational initiatives and measure results to drive measurable impact

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in a financial leadership position — required
• Four (4) years of experience in the non-profit sector — required
• Experience working in a Foundation environment — highly preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) — highly preferred
• Proven knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles
• Strong leadership, coaching, influencing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary groups and handle competing interests
• Must disclose any previous Parkland employment history
• Resume and proof of taxable address required as part of submission

• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting
• Designing and monitoring internal controls and compliance programs
• Budgeting, financial reporting, and analytical reasoning
• Grant management and foundation accounting practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse stakeholders
• Coaching, mentoring, and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead organizational change and achieve measurable outcomes
• High attention to detail and independent critical thinking
