Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support the nursing team with routine clinical tasks and safe patient handling
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care and observations clearly and promptly in the electronic record
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable assisting with hands-on patient care and ADLs
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED; current state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
• Good clinical observation and reporting to nursing staff
• Comfortable using electronic charting or willing to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
