Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for assigned patients and prioritize safe, effective care
• Provide patient and family teaching to support recovery and discharge planning
• Collaborate with ancillary staff and the interdisciplinary team to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice
• Document care accurately in Epic and contribute to care coordination
• Float to the Thompson Unit and Kingsbury (custodial) as needed, adapting to different patient ratios and acuity
• Demonstrate leadership at the bedside by mentoring team members and advocating for patient needs

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license in-hand or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2+ years Med-Surgical nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience (required)
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license; permanent address must be included in profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Completed Skills Checklist — Medical Surgical (current to 1 year) and up-to-date medical/occupational health compliance (proofs uploaded to Trio within 5 days of offer)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med‑Surgical nursing assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficiency using Epic for documentation and care coordination
• Patient and family education techniques for adult-geriatric population
• Ability to adapt and float between units, including custodial patient care
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced regional referral center
