Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts; schedule negotiable, every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday, may include call if low census
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care for patients >35 weeks through delivery and recovery
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings using EFM (Centricity) to support safe births
- Serve as circulator for C-sections and assist the surgical team during operative deliveries
- Titrate and manage drips such as Pitocin safely and per protocol
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and coordinate urgent newborn care when needed
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Support triage, admissions, and patient education for antepartum and postpartum patients
- Step into charge or first-to-float responsibilities as needed to maintain unit flow
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (able to practice in Kansas)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with L&D or obstetric experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Experience as a circulator and with C-section circulating
- Comfort and competence with drip titration (Pitocin and other common OB drips)
- Familiarity with EFM (Centricity) and EPIC charting
- Able to be in-state for the week of orientation and submit a valid driver's license within the required radius
- Willingness to float per hospital policy and work every other weekend/holiday
Education
- Associate degree or diploma in Nursing required; BSN not required
- Current RN licensure in applicable state
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and intrapartum assessment skills
- Proficiency with Centricity EFM systems and EPIC electronic charting
- Neonatal resuscitation skills and stabilization techniques
- Comfort with ventilator adjuncts such as CPAP and BiPAP in the newborn or postpartum setting
- Effective communication with OB, anesthesia, and neonatal teams
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced acute care L&D environment
- Understanding of AWHONN guidelines and unit ratio practices
