Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess residents thoroughly and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure resident/patient safety at all times
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants and support staff to deliver high-quality care
• Provide clear, accurate nursing documentation in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager/ADON/DON to coordinate care and follow the Villa Way of Kindness
• Adhere to JCAHO standards and the State Nurse Practice Act in daily practice
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and model Villa’s core principles in all interactions

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license (must be active at time of submission)
• MI CNA license (required per submission guidelines)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (copy required)
• Minimum 2 years of combined SNF/LTC and Med-Surg nursing experience
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical & religious exemptions considered case-by-case)
• Ability to complete profile requirements: resume/work history, home/taxable address in profile, skills checklist, and references
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and participate in facility onboarding and fingerprinting (agency must have active MI iCHAT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Resident assessment and comprehensive care planning
• Strong nursing documentation and charting skills
• Knowledge of JCAHO standards and state nursing practice regulations
• Experience supervising and coaching nursing assistants
• Resident/patient safety practices and environmental management
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes high-stress environment
