Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents and support daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility while preserving dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and changes in condition accurately
• Communicate promptly and clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team about resident needs
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe, clean environment
• Help create meaningful moments with residents through respectful interaction and engagement
• Document care and observations in the resident record in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living or geriatric care a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and common geriatric care needs
• Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility support
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Good observational skills and ability to report changes promptly
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience working with older adults
• Ability to follow care plans and facility policies consistently
