Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support meal times and help ensure hydration and nutrition needs are met
- Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and communication logs
- Follow infection control practices and facility safety protocols
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current GNA / Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent
- Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care preferred
- Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassionate and patient-focused
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role such as assisting with transfers
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Geriatric care principles and comfort with elder populations
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic clinical observations and reporting (e.g., vitals, behavior changes)
- Charting and documentation best practices
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Teamwork, time management, and a positive attitude
