Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting and safe transfers while preserving dignity
• Take and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' comfort and nutrition needs are met
• Maintain a clean, safe room and environment following infection control protocols
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Build meaningful connections with residents and their families through empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (North Carolina certification preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and any facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to compassionate resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfort with assisting residents with ADLs and mobility support
• Basic vital signs measurement and accurate documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Clear communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team
