Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts (specific start/end times not provided), 36 hours/week guaranteed; weekend rotation: 5 weekend days out of every 6-week cycle; no on-call; overtime available. Nursing traveler orientation starts on Thursdays.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to seriously ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor vital signs and patient status continuously, intervening as needed
- Administer medications and perform complex procedures safely and accurately
- Respond rapidly to medical emergencies using ACLS and BLS protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create individualized treatment plans
- Float to the Emergency Department to manage holds and occasionally support med-surgical patients
- Document patient care, changes, and interventions clearly and timely
- Support and mentor colleagues to maintain a strong, team-focused environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Oklahoma required; Compact license allowed
- ACLS (AHA) required and BLS (AHA) required
- ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Comfort with ED holds, float pool assignments, and occasional med-surgical patients
- NIHSS certification is a plus (link provided by client for 1-year certification)
- All compliance documentation must be submitted one week prior to start; license and certifications must be active at time of submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care and ICU nursing knowledge
- Expertise in patient monitoring and interpreting vital signs
- Medication administration and titration experience
- Skilled in emergency response and ACLS/BLS protocols
- Collaborative communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Ability to adapt when floating to ED or covering med-surgical holds
