Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility needs
- Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and maintain patient records with attention to detail
- Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Treat every resident with dignity, respect, and a positive attitude
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
- Compassionate bedside manner and commitment to resident-centered care
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control principles
- Skill in safe patient transfers and proper body mechanics
- Comfortable with documentation and charting best practices
- Ability to observe, recognize and report changes in condition
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
