Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform regular patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Assist with ADLs (activities of daily living) and promote resident dignity and independence
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, and facility staff to deliver coordinated care
- Contribute to a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active LPN credential or Licensed Practical Nurse classification (LPN)
- Eligible for or holding LPN licensure in New Mexico
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable with overnight/noc nursing responsibilities and medication administration
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Local candidates preferred (LOCAL ONLY scheduling)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program; state LPN certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Wound care and dressing change familiarity
- Infection control standards and safe handling procedures
- Electronic and paper charting skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
