Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living to improve patient comfort
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to promote patient dignity and independence
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, feeding assistance, and hygiene care with attention and respect
• Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear communication across the care team
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to support individualized care plans and positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• State authorization to practice in New Mexico or ability to obtain local authorization
• Comfort working the 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM day shift and delivering hands-on patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome to apply

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient hygiene
• Knowledge of safe transfer techniques and patient mobility assistance
• Familiarity with infection control practices and basic clinical protocols
• Clear verbal and written communication for effective documentation and team collaboration
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining empathy
