Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and neuro thrombectomy procedures
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data to support timely clinical decisions
- Assist physicians and the cath lab team during complex interventions and emergency STEMI activations
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and compliance
- Manage on-call responsibilities professionally — respond to emergencies on scheduled weekends and evenings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in an acute care setting
- Maintain a safe, sterile procedural environment and uphold accrediting standards of the STEMI center
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (Cath Lab/Interventional experience preferred)
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience or willingness to work with EPIC charting
- Familiarity with Phillips imaging and Merge Hemodynamics/CPACS is a plus
- Comfort with on-call rotations and responding to emergent procedures
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BSN not required for submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Knowledge of hemodynamics monitoring and interpretation
- Experience supporting neuro thrombectomy cases
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting systems
- Familiarity with Phillips imaging platforms and Merge Hemodynamics/CPACS
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
