Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers, promoting independence where possible
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person centered care
- Help create a welcoming, dignified environment that supports patient comfort and recovery
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification, VT or NH
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
- Comfortable working in long term care or similar care settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to start for the posted contract dates and fulfill the assignment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident assistance techniques
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
- Compassionate bedside manner and good observational skills
