Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Operate CT equipment and adjust protocols to obtain diagnostically useful images
• Position patients correctly and apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate, timely imaging
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in patient records and imaging systems
• Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to biomedical engineering or leadership
• Provide compassionate patient education and support throughout imaging procedures

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required) — proud to see your professional credential
• Medical Radiographer License for Nebraska (required) — must be valid
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• Experience performing CT and radiography procedures (CT-focused experience preferred)
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and meeting regional performance expectations
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent clinical training)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging techniques and protocol selection
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Skilled in patient positioning and assessing patient condition during scans
• Familiar with PACS, DICOM standards, and basic imaging IT workflows
• Ability to troubleshoot routine imaging equipment issues and escalate appropriately
• Team-focused with good interpersonal and documentation skills
