Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT examinations while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Operate CT equipment and adjust protocols to obtain diagnostically useful images
- Position patients correctly and apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate, timely imaging
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation in patient records and imaging systems
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to biomedical engineering or leadership
- Provide compassionate patient education and support throughout imaging procedures
Qualifications
- ARRT certification (required) — proud to see your professional credential
- Medical Radiographer License for Nebraska (required) — must be valid
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Experience performing CT and radiography procedures (CT-focused experience preferred)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and meeting regional performance expectations
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent clinical training)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging techniques and protocol selection
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Skilled in patient positioning and assessing patient condition during scans
- Familiar with PACS, DICOM standards, and basic imaging IT workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot routine imaging equipment issues and escalate appropriately
- Team-focused with good interpersonal and documentation skills
