Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate occupational therapy services that help patients regain independence and confidence
- Assess functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based interventions and adapt activities to meet patient goals
- Document patient progress clearly and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families to support carryover and long-term outcomes
- Contribute to a positive culture by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in California or eligible for California licensure
- Active professional liability insurance as required by facility policies
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Comfort working in varied settings with flexible schedules
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and team collaboration
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (entry-level master or doctoral degree preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in functional assessments, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, activity grading, and discharge planning
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and prioritize patient needs
- Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation
