Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, promoting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
- Monitor and document vital signs, behaviors, and patient status accurately and promptly
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team and report concerns
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention by following care plans and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in resident care areas
- Build positive relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Ability to work nights: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
- Comfortable providing direct patient care in a long-term care/rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding (orientation, immunizations, background check) as needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (typical requirement for CNAs) and completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear communication and teamwork with nursing staff
- Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes accurately
