Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the unit by example — supervise clinical staff and ensure high-quality patient care
- Coordinate patient flow and admissions to keep the unit efficient and safe
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Mentor and coach nursing staff, fostering professional growth and strong teamwork
- Monitor quality metrics and participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical leadership to champion patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maine (or ability to obtain) — required
- Demonstrated unit management or leadership experience in a clinical setting
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or additional certifications preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and experience supervising nursing staff
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader care team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in adult nursing and unit-based workflows
- Staff scheduling, delegation, and performance oversight
- Familiarity with quality improvement processes and regulatory standards
- Proficient documentation and electronic health record skills
- Patient advocacy, triage, and care coordination abilities
- Leadership skills that support team morale and professional development
