Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a licensed practical nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and chart timely and clearly
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Support admission, transfer and discharge activities with attention to detail
- Collaborate with RNs and other staff to develop and follow individual care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with 12+ hour night shifts and working the specified days (Mon, Tue, Fri)
- Strong patient communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a care team
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic assessment skills and recognizing changes in patient condition
- Familiarity with charting systems and electronic health records
- Infection prevention, wound care fundamentals and ADL assistance
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
