Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in charts and electronic records
- Follow infection control, safety procedures, and facility protocols
- Collaborate with nursing teammates and other clinical staff to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Class: CNA) required
- Valid CNA authorization for New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state clearance
- Comfortable and experienced working evening/overnight shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Compassionate, dependable, with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic familiarity with patient documentation and charting; EMR experience a plus
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Required: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
- Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Infection control and safe handling procedures
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members
- Basic charting/EMR usage and timely documentation
- Time management, situational awareness, and safe transfer techniques
