Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care and ventilator management for patients of all ages and acuity levels
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures with accuracy and clinical judgement
• Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a Level 2 NICU setting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered respiratory plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to critical events, applying life support protocols (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP)
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure continuity of care during night shift transitions

Qualifications

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — CRT candidates will not be considered
• Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
• Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program as required for licensure
• Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP — ALL required
• Demonstrated critical care and mechanical ventilation experience
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory experience, including Level 2 NICU exposure
• Proof of flu vaccine required prior to assignment
• Resume and skill sheet required for submission

Education

• Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program (as required for licensure)

• Mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator management
• Critical care principles and hemodynamic awareness
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care techniques
• Cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and interpretation
• Life support protocols (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient/family communication skills
