Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of both the Cath Lab and ICU, ensuring safe, efficient patient care
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional development and competency
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling and float assignments to meet unit needs and maintain quality ratios
• Support procedure flow in Cath Lab pre/recovery and intraprocedural settings, including moderate sedation oversight
• Ensure compliance with required certifications and licensure (ACLS, BLS, RCIS, NIHSS, TNCC, CRRT competency)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians and leadership to optimize patient outcomes
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and support culture-building activities on both units
• Respond to after-hours events as part of on-call expectations and support escalation when needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (must be able to submit license and meet state requirements)
• Minimum 3 years RN experience with at least 1 year of management experience
• At least 1 year of clinical leadership experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS, NIHSS, TNCC, CRRT competency (or equivalent; CNO may consider strong candidates missing a subset)
• Fluoroscopy license for technical staff familiarity preferred
• Experience in both Cath Lab and ICU critical care settings required
• Comfort and competency with titratable drips and vasoactive medications
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to be within a 60 mile radius (DL must be submitted)

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical leadership and nursing management skills
• Critical care nursing and telemetry monitoring expertise
• Cath Lab procedural knowledge including pre/post recovery and intraprocedural support
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to lead moderate sedation care and manage advanced cardiac/respiratory patients
• Competence in staff scheduling, charge nurse oversight and building team culture
• Skilled in interpreting cardiac strips and coordinating monitor responsibilities
• Familiarity with ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow oxygen modalities in ICU
