Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night coverage). Typical shift times include 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Every other weekend required; self-scheduling with team coordination. (Rotating day/night)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for adult patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg/Oncology unit
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy and titratable drips per protocol, with careful documentation
- Perform ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (A-line, CVP, Swan, EV-1000) as needed
- Use EPIC for thorough, timely charting and care coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT/OT, case management, social work, dietician) to optimize patient outcomes
- Support hourly rounding, patient experience initiatives, and family-centered care
- Serve as charge or mentor when assigned, contributing to unit leadership and teamwork
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in Nebraska or compact licensure as applicable)
- ACLS and BLS (AHA) required at time of submission
- NIHSS certification required; ONS/ONCC and chemotherapy certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years RN experience (PCU, MedSurg or Oncology experience strongly preferred)
- Experience with ventilator care and hemodynamic monitoring (or willingness to train and demonstrate competency)
- Familiarity with EPIC and Alaris IV pump operation preferred; EPIC within 6 months noted at submission
- Driver's license required at time of submission and ability to meet radius rule criteria
- Professional demeanor, strong teamwork skills, and patient-centered attitude
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Diploma in Nursing, or BSN
- BSN is not required for this role
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology and PCU patient care knowledge, including chemotherapy handling and oncology diagnoses
- Competence in titration of drips (e.g., insulin, Cardizem) and common ICU/PCU drips
- Ventilator management and respiratory support skills
- Hemodynamic monitoring familiarity: CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000 and ICP
- Fluency with EPIC electronic medical record workflows
- Proficiency with Alaris IV pumps and medication administration safety
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Commitment to hourly rounding, patient advocacy, and culturally respectful care
