Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing team with admissions, transfers, and routine observations
- Communicate changes in resident condition clearly to RNs and other care team members
- Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and families
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- State CNA certification or ability to obtain/transfer licensure for North Carolina (travel assignment friendly)
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with personal care tasks and assisting with ADLs
- Familiarity taking and documenting vital signs and intake/output
- Good charting and observation skills — noticing the little things that matter
- Strong interpersonal skills: empathy, patience, and teamwork
- Basic infection control and safety practices
