Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for a 28-bed PCU/IMCU with a cardiac population
- Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient status with timely interventions
- Administer cardiac drips and vasoactive medications such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Support lower-acuity telemetry assignments when needed to ensure smooth unit flow
- Document patient demographics and ensure badge-appropriate photo and required documentation are uploaded
Qualifications
- Documented PCU experience in your work history (required)
- Minimum 2 years PCU experience in a similarly sized facility (explicit requirement)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Comfortable managing cardiac drips, inotropes, and vasopressors
- Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
- Ability to function effectively at a ratio of approximately 1:3-4
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Cardiac nursing fundamentals including STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-cardiac surgery care
- Medication administration for inotropes and vasopressors
- Patient assessment and progressive care unit workflows
- Familiarity with PCU/IMCU operations and lower-acuity telemetry assignments
