Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams with precision and care
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment, ensuring safe and effective imaging
- Prepare and administer IV contrast media and perform venipuncture as needed
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper positioning throughout imaging procedures
- Maintain quality assurance, perform equipment checks, and document findings
- Adhere to radiation protection principles, policies, and ARRT Standards of Ethics
- Collaborate with radiology team and clinical staff to deliver excellent patient care
- Keep accurate records, follow department protocols, and support service excellence
Qualifications
- Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
- Approved CPR certification (current)
- ARRT certification (preferred) and willingness to obtain a fluoroscopy permit within 6 months if required
- Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification preferred
- Desired: ~2 years diagnostic X-ray experience and ~1 year CT experience
- Ability to work night shifts and function independently with strong communication skills
Education
- Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
- ARRT registration preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging and CT equipment operation
- Cross-sectional anatomy and patient positioning
- Radiographic exposure principles and quality assurance
- Radiation protection, radiation physics, and radiobiology basics
- IV contrast administration and venipuncture technique
- Strong patient care, critical thinking, and communication skills
