Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the radiology program to ensure timely, accurate patient imaging and reporting
- Provide PACS training and support to staff so imaging workflows run smoothly
- Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulations
- Develop, update, and maintain radiology policies and procedures to uphold quality standards
- Manage the radiation protection monitoring program and ensure staff safety
- Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain high standards of care
- Perform or oversee radiologic exams within your scope of competency and ensure staff competency
- Supervise radiology staff daily, conduct timely evaluations, and build a strong team environment
- Collaborate with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to support operations and documentation
- Prepare required reports, perform lead apron testing, and handle other assigned duties with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology (required)
- Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
- Registered Mammographer — preferred
- Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in radiology management and supervision
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a radiologic technologist
- PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, evaluate competencies, and document performance
Education
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of MQSA and other federal/state/accreditation radiology requirements
- Experience with digitized imaging and PACS workflows
- Skilled in quality assurance/control processes and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with radiology equipment maintenance and inspection requirements
- Comfortable working across multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build a cohesive team
- Ability to create and maintain radiology manuals, policies, and procedure documentation
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a clinical environment
