Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients on telemetry and med-surg units, using remote telemetry systems to detect changes early
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care including medication administration and IV management using Alaris IV pumps
• Perform and document thorough patient assessments and chart accurately in Alterra (Allscripts) EMR
• Recognize and respond to cardiac events quickly and effectively, using ACLS protocols when needed
• Start IVs and manage lines confidently to support treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-focused care and smooth discharges
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans to support recovery and reduce readmissions
• Float between assigned units (inpatient rehab, ED, PCU) as required while working within your skill level

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHS
• Proven comfort working with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythms
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and documentation in Alterra (Allscripts) EMR
• Team-oriented attitude with strong time management and the ability to work weekends
