Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation using CT and X-ray equipment
• Apply radiation protection principles and professional judgment to ensure patient and staff safety
• Maintain accurate patient records, files, and departmental documentation
• Participate in and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, including preparation, sterile technique, and tele-radiology transmissions
• Set up and run automatic injectors and adjust contrast protocols appropriately for patient age groups
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and assist with patient care across age ranges
• Rotate shifts as required and be prepared to take call and report promptly when needed
• Support supply inventory, ordering, and general hygiene of the department

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/X-ray) and assist in interventional procedures
• Comfortable working across modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) and willingness to learn additional imaging areas as needed
• Competency with contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Familiarity with tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique
• Ability to work well under stress, rotate shifts, and respond to on-call assignments within 20 minutes
• Additional certifications (ARRT in CT/MR/MG/NM or ARDMS) are a plus

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Additional ARRT/ARDMS modality certifications preferred
• Clinical competency demonstration within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic examination techniques across lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
• Radiation protection and patient safety best practices
• CT imaging and interventional support
• X-ray positioning and image acquisition
• Contrast administration and automatic injector setup
• Tele-radiology transmission and image transfer workflows
• Sterile technique and assistance with invasive procedures
• Quality assurance, daily/weekly QC, and record maintenance
• Patient transfer and compassionate patient care
• Familiarity with MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, ARDMS categories, and venipuncture (preferred)
