Shift Type: Rotating schedule (including weekends), 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM Day shifts and 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM Night shifts, 12-hour rotating shifts, schedule varies (day and night coverage needed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients on the Acute Rehab unit
- Perform safe mobility and patient transfers using Hoyer lifts and transfer equipment
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and one-on-one patient mealtime assistance
- Administer and manage IV therapy, PICC/midline care, and infusion pump treatments
- Manage tube feedings (NG/kangaroo pumps) and NG tube care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech
- Collaborate closely with PT, OT, and ST to support patients' 3-hour therapy participation
- Round with patients each shift and actively prepare them for safe discharge
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (state licensure or compact eligible)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with Med/Surg training required
- Rehabilitation nursing experience preferred but not required
- BLS certification required; NIHHS preferred (not required)
- Experience with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Demonstrated competence with IV equipment, infusion pumps, PICC/midline care, Foley and NG management
- Ability to safely perform and teach patient transfers and use assistive equipment
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong med/surg nursing knowledge with rehab-focused skills
- Familiarity with cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Skilled in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Proficient with electronic charting (Meditech) and accurate documentation
- Comfortable managing tube feedings, IV therapy, and related equipment
- Good communication and patient education skills to support discharge planning
- Ability to work in a team-focused, CMS-regulated environment
