Roles & Responsibilities
- Direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant services
- Oversee financial, operational and quality components of regional pharmacy sites
- Partner with the director to develop and implement policies, procedures and quality assurance standards
- Lead system-level planning, problem analysis and operational solution development
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with medical staff and hospital teams
- Drive pharmacy information systems initiatives, inventory control and charge system integrity
- Represent pharmacy on committees such as Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems and Patient Medication Safety
- Perform human resources responsibilities including hiring, performance management and staff development
- Monitor productivity, partner engagement and patient outcomes; adjust plans to meet targets
- Step in as needed to perform pharmacy manager duties and other assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
- PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
- Licensed Pharmacist in Wisconsin (WI) — active and in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a pharmacy or health-system setting
- Demonstrated leadership, strong communication skills and experience with policy/procedure development
- Experience with pharmacy information systems, inventory control and budget/planning activities
Education
- PharmD from an accredited college or university
- ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration preferred (or equivalent experience)
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
- Expertise in quality assurance and patient medication safety practices
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and inventory control processes
- Budgeting, financial management and operational planning skills
- Strong leadership, team-building and human resources capabilities
- Comfort participating in multi-disciplinary committees and influencing stakeholders
- Analytical problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
