Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and efficiently using hospital imaging equipment
- Position patients and operate radiology equipment while observing radiation safety protocols
- Ensure image quality and promptly upload studies to PACS and the electronic medical record
- Provide compassionate patient care, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort
- Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and physicians to support timely clinical decision making
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform routine QC checks, and report any issues
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records to support continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a safe imaging environment
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in Radiography preferred or registry eligible
- Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure (or ability to obtain Tennessee license)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Minimum 2 years of Rad Tech / radiology experience as noted in the job posting
- Strong patient care skills and clear verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with digital radiography and PACS workflow
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Skilled in patient positioning and a range of radiographic procedures
- Comfortable using hospital electronic medical records and documenting exams
- Good interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Attention to detail for producing diagnostic quality images
