Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts). Schedule includes night coverage and requires working at least 4 weekends per schedule period; overnight/NOC focus.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a 16-bed neuro/medical ICU, maintaining a typical 2:1 patient ratio
- Perform and manage advanced ICU procedures such as central line and arterial line placement and intubation, following unit protocols
- Care for patients with external ventricular drains (EVD) in collaboration with core staff and the neuro team
- Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic data to make timely clinical interventions
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the EMR (Meditech) to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to optimize patient outcomes
- Teach, coach and support colleagues and patients' families with compassion and clear communication
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in the assignment state
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required, neuro or oncology ICU experience preferred
- Current ACLS certification required
- Proven competency with critical care procedures (central line, arterial line, intubation); EVD care experience is a plus
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar EMR systems; strong clinical documentation skills
- Team player mindset with accountability and strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care clinical judgment and ability to manage complex ICU patients
- Familiarity with ICU equipment and monitoring (ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, infusion pumps)
- Airway management and ventilator basics for intubated patients
- Skill with vascular access management including central and arterial lines
- Experience with neuro ICU patient needs including EVD monitoring and care
- Proficient documentation in Meditech or equivalent EMR
- Excellent teamwork, situational awareness and effective communication under pressure
