Shift Type: Rotating nights (schedule varies to meet department needs), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, includes every other weekend — Night shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care in a busy ED
- Provide hands-on emergency nursing including cardiac monitoring and acute interventions
- Document patient care and clinical decisions thoroughly in Cerner
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Coach and mentor colleagues in real time to elevate team performance and patient safety
- Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to support unit flow
- Maintain patient experience standards (AIDET, respectful communication, ongoing updates)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Required certifications before or on start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (ENPC within 90 days of hire)
- Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
- Previous HCA experience preferred
- Strong teamwork mindset and ability to provide constructive feedback; comfortable coaching peers
- Willingness to float within the Emergency Department
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing and triage best practices
- Patient assessment and stabilization in acute settings
- Cardiac monitoring and interpretation of telemetry
- Proficient documentation in Cerner
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
- Ability to manage varied patient ratios and behavioral holds
- Excellent communication, AIDET patient experience approach, and bedside teaching skills
