Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
- Design and implement engaging therapy sessions that promote independence in activities of daily living
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic patient care
- Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record to track outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies and adaptive equipment to maximize function
- Advocate for patient needs and adjust interventions based on clinical response
- Contribute to a positive, safety-focused work environment
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) or eligible for Texas licensure
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and active certifications as required by state
- Clinical experience in common OT interventions and comfortable treating adult and/or geriatric populations
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
- Clear professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessing ADLs, IADLs, mobility, and functional cognition
- Proficient in developing individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
- Knowledgeable about adaptive equipment and home modifications
- Solid clinical reasoning and outcome tracking
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
