Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule includes 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and prioritize care for PCU patients
- Deliver compassionate bedside care and involve patients and families in the plan of care
- Start and manage IVs, administer medications, and maintain accurate Meditech documentation
- Provide basic wound care and care for surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Monitor telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry to quickly identify changes in condition
- Give clear bedside shift reports to ensure excellent continuity of care
- Collaborate with unit staff and float per unit policy to support patient needs
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as listed)
- Med/Surg and PCU experience preferred
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and basic wound/surgical drain care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
- Telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry interpretation
- IV pump, feeding pump and PCA management
- EKG recognition and use of EKG machines
- Use of bladder scanner, SCDs and other bedside equipment
- Strong patient/family communication and bedside shift reporting
- Prioritization, multitasking and compassionate patient-centered care
